When a simple walk isn't enough, it's time to pack some painting gear and head out into the world.
Classically trained at Simon Fraser University and the University of Waterloo, Kathryn has been involved in creating professionally for over twenty years.
During the day her work involves the design and creation of fine gold and silver jewellery, with a focus on new techniques involving laser technology and 3D printed casting. For over fifteen years she has been creating and sometimes rehabilitating, family heirlooms.
When she hasn't been sitting at the goldsmith's bench, she has been creating and selling charcoal and digital paintings online for a global community. However, in the past few years she has discovered an activity that offers a greater challenge - Plein Air Painting.
A member of the Hamilton Plein Air Society, Kathryn paints in the Hamilton region, as well as the Tri-Cities, London, Bayfield and abroad.
